With a simple idea of providing iconoclastic & smart investment solutions to investors by harnessing the opportunities and challenges posed by financial markets, the Silverdale Group was established in London (UK) & Geneva (Switzerland) in the year 2000 as a boutique Asset Management firm and Investment Bank.
By using innovative ideas and approach, we quickly created off-shore credit derivatives market for mid-cap companies, converting un-utilized bank credit limits of domestic banks into Credit Default Swap (CDS) issued by offshore banks. As a result, Silverdale UK became world’s leading investment bank, by number of transactions, for Indian convertibles. In the ensuing years, Silverdale Capital garnered over US$ 4 billion of investments in emerging markets of Thailand, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and UAE. During this period, over US$ 250 million was invested by forging asset management joint ventures with Goldman Sachs (for assets in Philippines), Morgan Stanley (for assets in India) & Lehman Brothers (for assets in Indonesia).
Continuing with the theme of providing pioneering investment & fund management solutions with in a world class and forward-looking financial market and regulatory framework, Silverdale Capital was established in Singapore in 2008. In 2010, we re-oriented the group to focus exclusively on fund management, divesting all other businesses. Today, we manage two family of funds: Sri Silverdale Opportunities Fund, Mauritius, and Silverdale Fund SPC, Cayman Islands. Silverdale Capital holds a Capital Markets Services (CMS) License No. CMS100511-1 from Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for fund management with a mission to deliver consistent and attractive risk-adjusted returns within the mandate provided by it’s clients.
Silverdale Capital advises several funds, i.e., Silverdale Bond Fund, Silverdale Fixed Income Fund, Silverdale India Fund of native Indian Equity Funds, Silverdale Fund of Technology Funds as well as offers Silverdale Bespoke Solutions its clients, i.e., Family Offices, Independent Asset Managers, Private Banks and increasingly, institutional investors. The group currently manages circa S$ 1 Billion in assets and continues to grow rapidly.

What We Do
We provide end-to-end fund management solutions and investment advisory services by focusing on creating performance-driven innovative products that capitalize on market opportunities to meet specific investment objectives. We offer Bespoke and External Fund Management services.
Our key asset class is Investment Grade, Short Duration, Emerging Markets US Dollar Bonds. Typically, bond fund managers use Credit Filters such as credit rating of bonds, duration, YTM, etc. to choose the bonds to invest into. While Credit Filters are important, we believe that it is more important to focus on Legal Review of bond covenants, and adjunct payment waterfalls.
The key risk in investing in fixed income securities is the Redemption Risk which is determined by ‘Ability to Pay’ and ‘Willingness to Pay’ and our core competency lies in our proprietary Cash Flow Modelling which is based on Fungible Cash (not IFRS or US GAAP based accounting cash flow provided by Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
Duration management, diversification and optimization built on robust Risk Management System is an integral part of Silverdale Trident of Investments.

Vinod Ohri is an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Silverdale Capital Pte Ltd. He brings to Silverdale over 35 years of hands-on experience in fund management and strategic planning, and an enviable network of contacts in the industry.

Founder and CIO
Sanjay Guglani is the Founder and CIO of Silverdale Funds, and heads Silverdale Capital Pte Ltd, where he manages over a dozen funds . He started his professional career in 1990 by launching one of the first retail portfolio management schemes in India.

Aseem Arora is President of Silverdale Capital where he leads the overall Business Strategy and Development. He has over 25 years of strong leadership experience in Private Banking & Wealth Management working with world class financial institutions.
