As part of our commitment to give back to our society, we are delighted to share that Silverdale Annual Lecture on Fixed Income at Singapore Management University (SMU) was presented on 10/10/20 by Sanjay Guglani, CIO, Silverdale Funds. The Masters in Wealth Management students got current trends in the fixed income market from a practitioner’s perspective and importantly “How to generate wealth”.
The topics included: Size and Spreads, Credit Ratings, Maturity & Duration and understanding the functional roles of Credit Analyst, Investment Analyst, Portfolio Manager and Chief investment Officer in a fund management company. One of the key take-aways for students was that a Leveraged Bond Portfolio provides a superior risk-adjusted return as compared to a traditional balanced portfolio consisting of equities and fixed income.
